SHE COMES IN COLOURS

I am obviously in no way partial to any season. In my opinion summer deserves an honorable  mention all year round because on the other side of the world, she's blazin'. This is an ode to sugar coated dreaming, being in love, sipping coke at le cinema, hanging out with boys in cars, kissing boys in cars and dancing around to your favourite record in white frilly socks.

Elle Fanning for Self Service magazine, by Venetia Scott. I like to imagine my life somewhere along the lines of this, Tiki bar and A.P.C. roller-skates included. I really love this look, soft, feminine, and a little bit kitche.  

MAGIC OF THEATRE

I have just closed the doors on a performance of Anton Chekov's The Three Sisters and I am feeling relief like never before, as though an oversized elephant has been removed from its balancing act on my head, yet at the same time reflective and melancholic. It's over! You can't bottle up the magic of theatre, its so enchanting and fleeting, in that it will never exist again, except in the ether of that very stage. And it's what we live for, to capture again and again. The feeling is hypnotic. This collection of photo's I found in various internet webs are somewhat reminiscent of that world. 

WHO RUN THE WORLD? TAVI.

 I have a psychic inkling that this little wonder child is going to be running the world soon. Plus, it's already written in the stars. She comes with a whole pagenatry of an era; namely the 60s, which she embodies with absolute finesse. Just have a gander at her blog linked to the right and you will see what I am on about. LOOKING GLASS // STELLA McCARTNEY

I'm a sucker for holographic. Stella McCartney resort 2013 see's an added dose of silken plaid, white lace, leopard print and tailored shirts in her usual kaleidoscope of citrus and blue hues. The sherbet lemon and pastel pink knit teamed with the holographic clutch is simply excellent.

Phoebe Philo, you are a woman sent from god to make this world a better place. No seriously.

Céline's 2013 Resort Collection is dah-vine, I am pretty much pining over every piece. The offbeat tailoring sets the collection off complimented by wide-leg palazzo pants, lashings of animal print (see: snakeskin heels) and polka-dots in a rustic colour palette. It's the kind of collection that you could fold up into a suitcase and whisk away across the globe with something (somewhat) suitable to wear for every city; I'm seeing the bold leopard print in Paris, the deconstructed leather trench in Berlin, hmm, the label's coveted bandana print beachside in Spain... You get the picture. Orrr, buy a vineyard in Tuscany and saunter around the terrace in a palazzo pant number. Yep, keep dreaming.
